Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone

Around The World Tour / Grantham, England

Grantham Lincolnshire

Finally got time to do a post.

I am in the pub (short for Public House) in the lovely town of Grantham.\

I had a Curry served to me by a lovely Chinese lady in the hometown of

I had an Apple Meltdown on the plane over to the old country, and after much ado about nothing I decided that it is not good to get any liquids in the track pad!

I just had to buy a new laptop and Damon (my younger brother) will be the next big Apple user, after a trip to the Apple store in Liverpool next Tuesday!!!!!

So sorry about your computer crash. Now you know that computers do not like to drink.

Love seeing the pictures and hearing about the concerts while I am stuck in USA. Wish I could be there. Planning on seeing you in May for my birthday.

I love to hear some of the names of the places in England. I think everywhere in Canada was named after one place or another. Have fun Herman.
Just watched you on PBS is gets more fun every time I watch.

Whoops! The pics I was referring to are of places in England – not concert photos, and are only on facebook. My bad?

I love Margaret Thatcher. And Curry. What a nice melding of cultures! A nice English lady, Indian Curry, and a lovely Chinese lady. (Of course, I’ve never seen a Chinese lady who WASN’T lovely!!) And I have really enjoyed seeing pics here and on facebook. :)

Great! Hope you do come up with some fun pix/info! I know England is not very large . . . but since I notice your tour has started pretty much in the south and wends its way north . . . . with your final dates being played in Scotland . . . .are you hoping for warmer weather by the time you play there — is there that much of a climate difference from north to south of the country?

Sorry about your ‘puter. Military personel whom I have talked to and had been stationed in England tell me what a ‘whole different country England is.” The language/customs, etc. Never really realized what they meant until I started hanging out with you online. Both speak “English” I took for granted.

You seem to be busy busy busy busy. Take care and safe travels.

This should be fun, a tour of Olde England with a modern Bard! Two questions: by owning up to the knowledge that Grantham is Lady Thatcher’s hometown, are you admitting to being an old Thatcherite (or have you more recently watched “Iron Lady”)? Secondly, have you watched the British soap, “Downton Abbey”? I’m now curious as to why their main character is named the Earl of Grantham, with the seat of his estate located in Yorkshire (as they mention in the show) . . . . when the real location of Grantham is in Lincolnshire? Obviously, I don’t expect you to have an answer for this one; but . . . . . hmmm?!

Thanks for the update, Peter. I’ve seen some pictures of the UK tour so far and it looks like lots of FUN! Curry is my absolute favorite food and I envy the British being spoilt for choice in this culinary area. Enjoy your journey through Liverpool 1 next week to take care of your Apple requirements:) All the very best. x

I guess that just goes to show you that one should never eat when using their Apple. You probably had a little bit of a Meltdown when you realized it didn’t work anymore. I just bought a new Dell laptop. I wonder what kind of dessert goes good with it??

Thanks for defining pub for me, I never knew how it came to be called that.

By any chance, was the liquid you got on the trackpad Apple juice?

It’s about time Damon joined us Apple users!
