Around The World Tour / Portsmouth
March 20, 2012

Having a lovely time touring around Merrie Olde, but have had consistent bad luck with anything to do with computers and telephone service.

I have been taking lots of pictures and will try to get them posted as I get the time.

Above is my favorite shot so far. It is called “Liverpool as I knew it. Now”

You get better looking every year Peter.
Well Peter, Edinburgh is your last show before you come home. Please becareful, and have a safe trip home.
Very artistic picture. Did you take it?
Love your pictures, Peter! Looks like you are having a splendid time! You wear it well! XOXO
You’ve finished your week with Leeds and headed toward Bournemouth… how far are you driving to get there?
Sorry to hear about the computer issues. Have you tried smoke signals, or carrier pigeons?
Sorry to hear about all the computer and telephone problems. I enjoy seeing all the pictures you are posting.
Love the photos. I know Liverpool isn’t a sleepy little town but it looks like that in the photo. Thanks foe taking us along!
sigh…..what a great view
What a gorgeous pic of Liverpool!!
Thanks for posting Peter. Looking forward to more whenever you can get that computer to work.
Sorry, I’m dyslexic direction-wise, I meant background!!!
Hi Peter! This SSSTour looks incredible by all accounts! I love the photo you’ve posted above of Liverpool. It looks as if it could have been taken very “Early in the Morning” and is that the iconic “Mersey” in the foreground?
Thanks for posting updates when you can. I wish I could see the architecture in the picture more clearly and would love it even better to see it in person. I’m also a fan of sunrises and sunsets, and therefore, I also love your photo!
Lovely shot! I’ve found truly creative people to be gifted in various spheres . . . and you seem to prove that point. Really nice and atmospheric (I especially like the latticework you caught on the Juliet balcony on the left, juxtaposed with the gathering darkness) It looks like you’re facing the port, because I see a shipping crane in the background (or are they simply knocking down another old building to make room for a shopping mall?) Both Liverpool and Birmingham were (are?) quite industrial, if I remember correctly . . . . but what two different feelings you’ve conjured up in your pictures of the two cities! I LOVE THIS! More, more, more, please!
Thanks for sharing, Peter! Looking forward to seeing Merrie Olde again myself. Our android phones won’t work on England’s GMS system so we are renting one from the UK and see how that will do…. We will let you know! Not even going to attempt the laptop : ) Enjoy your time with fam & friends!
Thanks for sharing your pictures Peter. Sorry to hear you’re having phone and computer problems hope they’re not spoiling things too much for you. Enjoy the rest of your tour around the UK.
Also love the picture! I’ve been to Liverpool once, in the ’90′s, and although it was July, it was very gray and overcast that day. I also remember it as very industrial looking, but there was something very charming and “olde country” about it.
Thanks for taking us along “virtually” on your tour :-)
What a beautiful picture Peter. It’s funny how folks can look at the same photo and see different things. The picture immediately reminded me of where I lived as a child in Brooklyn New York in the 50′s. Something so very “olde” about it. Different places in the world can be so unique and yet so much the same. Sorry to hear you are having communications problems. It seems to be a common problem I hear from friends when they travel overseas. A cell phone will work fine until they find out they don’t have roaming service at a particular destination and so on. Internet connections can be hit or miss; mostly miss. lol!! Amazing how dependent we’ve gotten on these gadgets, eh? I’ve never been to England. Thanks for taking me there thru your blog.
We’re looking forward to seeing your photos and hearing about your UK performances, Peter!
Now, where is that Like button? :) Thanks for posting when you’re able.
Love the picture..
Remember when you are walking around Manchester..you wanted to find that park where that early HH picture was taken.
