“People yackity yack and yack (not sure how to spell yack) and waste their time ……but Mister ED will never speak unless he has something to say” Don’t remember all the lines in the song but those line always pops into my head when I hear Mr Ed. And now that I have that song playing in my head ……..:)

Years ago I use to walk my oldest daughter in her stroller and one time we were walking and I heard a snort. I looked back and it was the neighbor’s horse following us. It’s like it wanted to walk with us too. I had my daughter in her stroller, a baby in my belly, our dog on his leash and a horse :)

I would have liked to meet Mr. Ed also.
I thought they put peanut butter on his mouth not fishing line. I hope it was peanut butter.

Mister Ed was a horse, of course! Mister Ed was portrayed by 2 horses. Bamboo Harvester, and Pumpkin (His stunt double). I loved the show. I used to watch the reruns until I changed to Direct TV, and they don’t carry the channel.

Today is an appropriate day to say Great Britian has good horse sense, good horse team jumping sense. Congrats GB on your Olympic gold metal!

That horse was very wise and insightful. Witty too. Thank goodness for channels like Nickelodeon and Antenna TV for keeping clean, innocent programs alive for us to enjoy all over again.

Herman, other than Mrs. Brown, the greyhound in your movie, what other animal actors have you worked with?

In reply to the comments about missing Peter’s episode, I believe this photo was taken during a visit to the set of Mr. Ed, and though it’s been debated a lot on the internet, I don’t believe Peter or Herman’s Hermits ever actually appeared on the show.

I always watched Mr. Ed, but wouldn’t you know it? The episode I missed was the one with YOU in it! Darn! He never talked to anyone but Wilbur. Did he talk to you? Did you horse around much?

Sigh! Not many got to meet the two Mr. Eds, the great Mr. Ed Sullivan and Mr. Ed the Talking Horse. “Two Eds are better than one!” I vaguely recall seeing the episode of Herman and Mr. Ed together! Mr. Ed wasn’t quite the singer you are, but loved his show and sense of humor / humour.

Once interviewed a Mr. Ed, but he wasn’t a horse. Last name was Banker, but he wasn’t a banker. Had a radio show, but that wasn’t how he made his living. Mr. Ed is an unusual name, not to be horsed around with. So, did Mr. Ed give you any inside tips on the horses?

I love horses and always tuned in to watch Mr. Ed, of course! I imagine Mr. Ed gave you a nudge asking for a treat, such as a carrot, when he met you! What a nice photo of you and Mr. Ed!

Mr Ed. I loved that show. When I was young I could never understand how a horse could talk and never really saw his whole body. He was always in the barn with just his head showing and talking.
